The chili I made for dinner turned out awesome, and super weight watchers friendly!
Here is the recipe:
5 links of turkey italian sausage
8 oz ground turkey (93/7 for the fat content)
1 big can crushed tomatoes
1 jar of salsa
Chili powder and cumin to taste
Makes 7 one cup servings
Soooo simple...and so good! I browned the meat, threw everything in the crock pot and let it rip! About 6 hours later we ate and it was fabulous. I made a loft of pillsbury bread (in the tube), and had an apple and some green beans on the side
Points Plus breakdown for the meal:
1 cup of chili = 5 pts
2 slices of bread = 6 pts
Apple = zero
Green Beans = zero
little bit of light margarine = 2 pts
a 13 pt total for an INCREDIBLY FILLING and mostly healthy meal. soo good
